The Society is engaged in the procurement of raw milk, its processing, and the manufacture and marketing of a wide range of dairy and bakery products. Bakery products are marketed under the brand name "Sahakar", while dairy products are sold under the brand name "Yalgud." The Society's product portfolio includes milk, bread, biscuits, cakes, Shrikhand, Basundi, and other quality food products. These products are marketed across the districts of Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, Solapur, and Belagavi (Belgaum) through the Society's own retail outlets as well as an extensive network of agencies, dealers, and distributors. The Society has also been a trusted supplier to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, residential schools established by the Government of India, including those at Kothali, Kagal, and Palus. It regularly supplies milk, bread, biscuits, cakes, Shrikhand, Basundi, and other food products to meet the daily nutritional requirements of students. Supplies are made every day in accordance with the schools' requirements for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Society's Head Office is located at Yalgud Village, while its well-equipped Bakery and Dairy manufacturing plants are situated at Randeviwadi, approximately 2 km from the Head Office. The Society follows a systematic and quality-focused approach in the development of new food products. Before introducing any new bakery or dairy product to the market, commercially available products are carefully studied and evaluated with respect to their ingredients, quality, taste, appearance, nutritional value, packaging, and pricing. Based on this evaluation, the Society develops the product through a series of trial formulations in its Research and Development (R&D) unit. Using a structured trial-and-improvement process, the most suitable formulation and manufacturing process are finalized to achieve the desired quality, taste, and nutritional standards. Before any product is packed and dispatched for sale, it undergoes a final quality inspection and sensory evaluation by the Quality Controller and the Head of the concerned production department. Only products that conform to the Society's prescribed quality standards are approved for packaging and distribution, ensuring that consumers receive safe, hygienic, and high-quality bakery and dairy products. . |
